I've worn NB for years, but this shoe disappointed me. Not supportive at all, and the sole doesn't even feel like quality rubber...more like hard plastic. The velcro straps are way too long so that the hook barely meets the loop, therefore the closures constantly come loose and the straps just flop around. Horrible shoe. Should be better for [$]

Very comfortable shoes and easy to put on or take off. They are lightweight and have good stability making them excellent for walking.
I wear the shoe all day, including walks at night. The synthetic upper does not stain like leather. You will be impressed with these shoes. I have always enjoyed the New Balance brand, and this upscale shoe is the berries.

This is the second pair I bought. The first pair I wear to work almost everyday and I am still wearing it. I bought the second pair because it is on sale. The shoes are comfortable to wear for daily work and look alright with khaki pants for casual occasions too.

Bought a width B Narrow, its more like a Large D, when you snug up the Velcro Strapes the shoe is still loose, so not much support or comfort, bought the shoe due to surgery and not being able to tie my shoes for a short time. I would not want to wear these for everyday use.

I use walking shoe daily and it holds up pretty well. I normally order the bone color. This time the black.
I have bad knees so I need support and this walking shoe gives it to me. It holds up pretty well.
The rubber between the upper and the sole stains with dirt and grass and has to be scrubbed.

Can't wait to put them on -- and they are so easy to put on. Walk better - they remind me to stand up straighter since I tend to slouch. With other shoes I am always retying laces - the velcro enables me to get a snug fit (narrow feet) that stays that way and easy to adjust if it doesn't. Now - if we could only get those Velcro straps to lie flat the way they look in the picture. They call attention to themselves and make me feel like a four year old.

If your feet ever have a tendency to swell (from any variety of causes) you will love the less restritive velcro on this shoe. NB has always been noted for making good walking and running shoes. This is my second pair of these shoes. I chose them originally because they come with a removable support insert that can be taken out to accomodate my custom orthopedic inserts.
The shoes are very comfortable, the soles have good grip and wear well and the outer covering is easy to take care of.
The only downside is that the two velcro closures wear out eventually, which is why I replaced my first pair.
