No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I bought them looking for lightweight shoes that breathe, since I'm going to be going on vacation soon. And that's what they are.
I'm mostly happy - EXCEPT - that the insoles creep backwards, and as they move up the heel they form little pleats that poke my feet. I had to pull them off and reposition the insoles a few times a day until I finally glued them in place. Problem solved.
Note that I didn't check any of the Size ratings because my feet are so weird, no shoes are actually the right size for them.
