These are very cute, but they don't seem as comfortable as other tall Born shoes I own. My very favorite Born is the Minka -- it's as good-looking as it is comfortable. I can stand for hours in it. This one is more good looking than comfortable, it feels like it has much less cushion in the sole. It's fine to wear if you know you won't have to do a ton of walking or standing that day. The footbed is also much narrower than my other Borns, so it seems like a twisted ankle waiting to happen.

Well, I might be returning these shoes. The foot bed is extremely comfortable but the braids are irritating and rub in all the wrong places. The underlying seams that hold the braids on also rub against the skin causing an extremely annoying feeling. I'm not sure I can get use to these or if they'll stretch to fit my foot better, hence the return.

Longtime Born fan, first time reviewer. To date, the Zane style is my favorite Born summer sandal. The natural color has a subtle sparkle that sets it apart from other sandals, but it doesn't look flashy. My size 7.5 feet always fit perfectly in a Born 39 (8) and the Zane was no exception. Shoe perfection!

Remember the Monte Carlo shoe by Born - as perfect a shoe as may ever be worn. Here a style that makes the highest of fashion statement and may be worn in total comfort to the Opera, office, or the beach. Same for the Zane just recently purchased. Twenty -five on a scale of one to ten & great for those six hour visits to any mall. [...] No complaints whatsoever and compliments galore! Wishing that Monte Carlo may be brought out of retirement - my only lament :) the Zane proving the perfect antidote!
