I first bought these in Black and loved them until a few wears down the road I realized they made my feet REALLY black from the pigment in the sole. But because I loved them so much, I gave them a shot in the brown. No problems and I wear them all the time year around here in San Diego! They have a great arch support. I used to be a big Reefs fan but now I am leaning to the chacos!!
I needed an arch that fit right, so I went ahead and ordered my true size instead of the next one up as recommended. Order the next size up. This shoe is truely small.
I hesitate to check the "feels to narrow" box because this shoe fits great, but I do have narrow feet. A person with medium width might find them too narrow. A better Chaco flip for them would be the Leather FLIP; I tried it and found it too wide for my foot. The Eclipse hugs my foot perfectly, does not rub. I can wear a 9, 91/2 or 10 depending on width; the 10 is a great length.
This shoe definitely runs narrow and a half size small. I would say I have average width feet if not a bit on the narrow and I tend to wear a 7 to 7 1/2 depending on the shoe. I bought a size 8 in these and I am glad I heeded the advice of previous buyers. I loved them from the second I bought them. I recently had to return the first pair I bought due to the black of the sole staining my feet blackafter a few weeks of wear. It wasn't dirt but Black from the shoe as I wore them in more and more they decided to wear more and more on ME. I exchanged for the boardwalk color, hoping they will be a better choice when it comes to that isssue.( reason I didn't give them a 5 star.) Crossing my fingers because they are soooo comfortable. I have a higher arch so they are replacing my other favorite flip flop the Reef for comfort.
This is the best flip flop because it actually has arch support!!! I can walk all day in them!
I wear the shoes around the house and after leaving the gym. I thought they might be constructed similarly to my Rockports, which I love, but they aren't. They're stylish, but they run small. Buy a half size larger. It's a little inconvenient to return them too. I should have trusted the other people who rated this shoe and commmented on the sizing.
I've been wearing New Balance sneakers to keep my feet from pronating while on my feet--I work 12 hour shifts--and these are
the answer to summer. They are the only shoes I've found so far
that can do what my New Balance shoes can do--keep me pain-free.
I walk a lot anyway, and now I have summer shoes to do that in.
And they are cute! I have a pair of these, the Intersects, and the
Flips. They are worth the money!
I bought these to give my last year's Chaco Flips a break. They are comfortable and look great. Arch support in just the right place. I would live in them year round if I could. It's too soon to say much about their longevity but, I hope they last a long time.
Great support and comfortable. I like the soft leather footbed, but the fit is a little tight. I'm hoping they stretch a little.
I bought the 'Boardwalk' which has the fabric (instead of the leather) in the part that goes between the toes. It is super comfortable, I can walk all day in it, day after day after day. I ordered a full size up as recommended by others. The right side is 1/4" too long (not that noticeable) and the left side is 1/2" too long (this one's more noticeable). It's not the best scenario but for the comfort, I was willing to sacrifice the length not being exactly perfect.
I took reviewers' advice and got a 1/2 size larger. They were still too small. The part that goes between your toes seems like it would hurt and I prefer this type of sandal. Bummer.
Great arch support for a flip flop.
My husband LOVES his chacos so I tried for myself. I ordered my true size, 10, and I could barely get my foot in them. I exchanged them for the 12. It fit lenghtwise but were not wide enough. I have pretty standard size 10 feet and find most 10-11 shoes fit perfectly. Still love the look, style, comfort and durability others are finding, so I'll try the men's size.
This is the first time I have tried Chaco sandals. I had to adjust to the cost at first. They feel good on my feet, have great arch support. I will see how durable as I wear them more often. Cute shoe
I read the previous reviews and ordered a size up which worked
Good all-around sandal for casual wear... very comfy.
These are great flip flops. At first I wasn't sure I wanted to pay $65 for a pair of flip flops, but they are worth the price. I liked them so much I bought a pair in every color.
I wear them for everything: Travel, Going out, around the house, even yard work because they have the rubber sole, I have never had a problem slipping on any surface.
I would say the only thing to be concerned with is the durabliity. I only had my for 6 months before one of the straps broke. BUT, in all fairness, I was doing yard work and they were wet and it is the leather that broke.
I read reviews on this shoe on other on-line shoe stores and knew that I needed to order up one size. I did and they fit perfect. I expect these will last for several years.
I started wearing them the moment they arrived. I didn't get any blisters from wearing them new. The are very comfortable and I've worn them everywhere. They are well worth the price.
Ever since I got these flip's I haven't worn anything else, unless I'm headed to the gym. NO JOKE!
They are the perfect combination of comfort and style.
Look at my feet not our new fridge!
