When I was a small child I would spend my summer barefoot, but that was because I hadn't yet heard about the Naturalizer River. This shoe hugs your feet all day long. You put them on then you go on with your life. They have arch supports and heel supports yet they are good looking, not nerdy. The only fault I can find is with the velcro straps. The hooks face up and fuzz is facing down. The hooks catch all kinds of debris from the street and have to be cleaned. I wish the manufacturer would have put the fuzz up instead. I have bought the River for years but lately it is hard to find. A good substitute is the Naturalizer Collie, very similar but a few more straps. It is also slightly less comfortable but thats not an insult since no shoe can beat the River. Get it in Navy, Cement gets dirty.
