No, I would not recommend this to a friend
This is an adorable shoe, with a very comfortable footbed. However, the shoe is very heavy. Therfore, it pulls on the vinyl straps on top of your foot, causing severe blisters and chafing until the shoe breaks in. I put Dr. Scholls mole skin on the underneath side of the vinyl until the shoe broke in...and until by bloody feet healed! I own this in black and the white.
