This Gardenia sandal, and Merrell's Palmetto sandal have the most comfortable sole that Merrell has made. You can walk for miles and stand for hours in wonderful comfort.
Too bad that Merrell has discontinued this sole. To me, this sandal with this sole gets 5 stars, (as does their Palmetto with its now discontinued sole). Merrell's new replacement sandals with their new soles to me get 0 stars. Someone needs to tell Merrell that they have made a big mistake and should rectify it.

I just bought my second pair, I had gotten my first in a retail store last year and had not seen them again. So glad to find them again, they are truly amazing. I have back problems and suffer chronic pain, but I can wear these all day, shoppping, etc, and be comfortable. I would love them in every color if I could afford to!

I was talked into these sandals by descriptions stating they were good for people walking all day or on feet all day. I may be true for ONE day, but not day after day. The first few times I wore them they felt comfortable. After one month, big toe falls off shoe. The 'thong' is not sturdy enough to stay in place, so there is virtually no support to the foot at all. After wearing them for 2 weeks, developed a painful heel spur!!!

I wear these shoes during the entire warm season - they feel like they were built for my feet. They're durable, and only become more comfortable with wear. This was my replacement pair for another that didn't wear out, but that I'm using now for the beach, and being out in the yard in summer (they are a light color, and are showing their age after 2 summers of constant wear).

I love these. I got them in Marina and have almost worn them out. Now I'm buying black and citron/beige. They actually are really cute in addition to being relaxed, really comfortable and very versatile.
I have narrow feet and the Palmetto is too wide for me. But these fit great. I sometimes have trouble with thongs but this felt great right away.

The Merrell Gardena Sandals are the best I have ever owned. I am totally satisfied with them, and automatically put them on without giving a second thought. My friend has these sandals and recommended them to me. I wanted something that would actually be comfortable when wearing all day and walking a lot, but would not look orthopedic. These sandals are all that. The sole is a little narrow the way it is cut around the toes, but the sole is flexible, so it worked out okay as the shoes relaxed with wear. I would consider them in other colors next year!

I was expecting exceptional quality in Merrell. I have other Merrells and I was disappointed with the durabilty of these sandals. I still love them, but I was hoping to have these around for a few years...but I think 2 years may be the most I can squeeze out of them. Which is a shame, considering the price I paid for them.

It is hard to find a comfortable sandal when you have a heel spur and wear orthotics . This sandal has such great arch support you do not need orthotics . I am on my second pair , not that the first ones wore out , I just wanted another color . I want one in every color because they are just that great .

Because I had a foot problem my podiatrist suggested Merrell
My podiatrist gave me a list of recommended shoes for my feet problems. Merrel was on the list. They are designed for women and have helped me a lot. The great cool and casual look fits my lifestyle perfectly!

These are THE best sandals I have ever owned! This is my second pair and I bought a third pair right away in the gorgeous coral. I have recommended them to my friends and family. They are sooo comfortable and supportive to my feet, yet look sporty and stylish!

I love Merrell shoes and won't wear any other brand! I've never had to "break in" a pair - they're comfortable from day one. The only complaint I have about these sandals is the footbed color - it's too light and shows wear quickly.
