This shoe is stiff and bulky at first but quickly gets broken-in. I have this shoe in bronze as well. I love them both...the silver is probably more fun looking. The arch support, like all birkenstocks, is fantastic!

i love this sandals! they are sooo comfy and match for all occasion! i take em to barbecue, to the beach, but dont wear it when your feet is wet.

THEY WERE STIFF THE VERY FIRST DAY. MY FEET AND HEELS REALLY HURT. I GUESS I HAD TO BREAK THEM INTO MY FOOT MOLD. AFTER THAT FIRST DAY THEY FELT GREAT. I WEAR THEM ALMOST EVERY DAY AND MY FEET FEEL GREAT. THE COLOR AND DESIGN ARE FLATTERING AND CUTE. BIRKS HAVE COME ALONG WAY IN THE CUTE AREA. GREAT SHOES. WILL BUY AGAIN.

This is my 3rd pair of Birks and they do take some breaking in and getting used to. I own these in bronze as well. I am an overpronator and love to put these on after a run! These are the cutest orthapedic shoes ever!

I never thought I would own a pair of Birkenstocks but, I love the Gizeh! They were a little stiff when I first got them however, I heard you had to break them in. It didn't take very long before they became my favorite sandal! I wear between a 6.5 and 7 in most shoes but, I wear a size 37 in Birkenstock! I love my Birkenstock Gizeh's!
Wish they felt as good as they look!

I had high hopes for these great-looking Birks, but unfortunately for me, they are just not comfortable. The footbed itself feels great and cradles the foot for stability and comfort, but the plastic "thong" piece between the big toe is terrible. When you walk, all of your body weight gets pushed against that toe piece and it is very unforgiving. I tightened the straps as much as possible and it helped a little, but in the end, I decided to return these. I've owned Birkenstocks for years and couldn't see myself wearing this particular pair very often due to the awkward design. Too bad!

I really like the look of these shoes and get lots of compliments on them. They are my first pair of Birkenstocks and I am not used to the feel of the footbed yet. Feels a little hard to me, but I have heard so many people say how much they love them I am thinking that mine are just too "new" and I have not yet worn them enough.

My first pair of these in silver lasted 6 years...and that's 6 years of constant summer wear. I've worn them all over the planet and always felt chic. These are not your hippie aunt's clunky, chunky, brown Birkenstocks. It's so good to have happy and snazzy feet!
