For those of you who have complained upon the "squeak" that seems to accompany this shoe, there is an easy solution. Take out the inner sole (which just pulls out, it isn't glued in), dust the shoe bed and bottom of inner sole with some talcum powder, and voila, no more squeak.

Keen sandals everything in one!

I live in Florida and I have found Keen sandals to be ideal for the weather, humidity and terrain. I use my Keen Newports for walking the dog on the beach ,in the water, or when we go hiking. They are a multipurpose sandal, I call them sneaker sandals.

I wear the Monterey for more dressy occasions, receiving the same comfort and style. I wear them with skirts, shorts and pants.

I really don't need any other sandal and will be a customer for life.

Great shoe, not enough arch support.

I loved the brown Monterery, as it had a built in arch support.
I bought the black thinking it was the same shoe. Woud be perfect if it came with a built in arch like the brown pair.

I fell in love with this shoe the first time I saw it (I have a thing for the fisherman design) and haven't been disappointed. I spent spring break chaperoning high school students through Europe and I teach high school students and consequently are on my feet a lot. These shoes are comfortable throughout the day! Easy on, easy off.

Forget you are wearing shoes!

This is my third pair of Keens and I am proud to recommend them to friends and family members. They are so comfortable that I forget that I have feet. I do not have to think about wear I put my foot or "messing up" my shoes. I do not have to worry about the weather. These shoes take me anywhere, anytime. I am all about comfort, but I also like to look cute. These are not "dress up" shoes, but I can wear them to most places. I love the stability when walking on uneven surfaces. My daughter-in-law is buying a pair after trying on mine. She has a baby and a 4 year old. These shoes are reliable.
