I liked the look of this shoe ok, but it was too tight for me to be able to wear comfortably. I have a foot that doesn't ever measure wide, but run into this issue a lot. Maybe my feet are just cranky.

This little Escapade has turned out to be my favorite shoe, and I never thought I could wear flats as I have size 10, and one bad foot from surgery. This runs fairly generous in width so that works really well for me, and it does not rub on my surgery site (top of foot above bunion area) as I was afraid it might.. On my foot, this all leather version does not rub on the back of the heel as much as the sports version; maybe because it gives a little more. The red leather is really a fun little shoe. In the black leather, the rubberized toe does not stand out at all. It used to come in a tri-color metallic (silver, copper, gold) which I didn't think I liked, and now I am sorry I didn't get that one as it is kinda cute; they aren't your great aunt's gold lame sandals. The sports version is more casual because of the fun contrasting colors and the nylon webbing. Youthful look without looking like I am trying to be 30 years younger than I am. Velcro closure strap easily adjusts for width. Shoe is roomy in the toe, which I like; but there is a peekaboo for your pedicure! Kind of a cross between and sandal and a shoe. Very light and breathe well. I have converted from my everyday Keens to J41's for a less clunky look. I love these.
I'm mixed about this shoe. I love the color and style and they look cute on. But one strap was to tight across the top of my foot and caused a blister on both feet... on the outsides. I liked them so much I thought I could stretch them out or wear a little moleskin. But this was even tighter. In the end I decided to return them and put my money on Keen Sandle's. These are not as stylish but are more supportive and comfortable as soon as I put my feet into them. I'm a dog walker so have to have comfort and support my priority over style. I would recommend them as my feet may just have been to wide and not so with others.

I love these shoes! When I saw them I knew they would take me many places.....work, church, shopping, evenings out! They are dressy, but not overly so, very comfortable, and can go with me to nearly every occasion I might choose!

The strap is comfortable. Since it has a velcro closure it can be sized to fit. The style is so different and cute, I get lots of compliments.

I love these shoes, but I can not wear them. They rub on my toes on the sides of my feet , yet the front toe area has lots of room. For the right feet these are a cute shoe!

I wear these to my business casual workplace - I'm not standing all day, but I'm on the go a lot. I like to wear them with especially with my capris pants, and I always get compliments when I wear them. I wear between a 6.5 and a 6, the 6 on these fits perfect.
I bought them in black to go with everything. They are a good combination of cute (love the straps) and stable (the bottoms are rubber and good and grippy).

I own 2 pairs of the Escapade in black. Love the style and comfort. However, I am very disappointed with the Escapade in red. The color was an odd shade of red, and the dye process was blotchy. It made the shoes look cheap. J-41 should make the shoe in a deeper shade of red (check Earth shoes for their red color) without the orange accents.

I am hooked on J-41s! These shoes are so comfortable, I wore them eight hours the very first day I got them, and I am on my feet all day! I just ordered my second pair -- can't wait to get them! Not only are they extremely comfortable, but cute and stylish as well!

I own two pairs of the Escapade in black. Love the shoe for its great styling and comfort. I was excited to see the shoe offered in red, but was very disappointed with the color. First, the red was not as deep as I like (Earth shoe russo red is what I had in mind), plus the dye job was sloppy and uneven. I expect better from J-41. That being said, I would highly recommend the shoe - just don't order the red color.

My top requirement in shoes is comfort; I was delighted to find the escapades not only very comfy but cute and feminine. Besides having a unique, adorable design, they pack very well in a small suitcase and go with a variety of outfits: casual and sporty with capris and shorts, as well as party skirts and dresses. I love their look of individuality and the map on the sole and insole sparks my imagination for travel!

shoe runs long, and was tight across top of the instep and had no sole support.

These are my most comfortable purchase in years. They are so darling cute different. I receive compliments every time I wear them. I am impressed that even without socks they NEVER SMELL!

I loved these and found them either a bit too narrow and/or a half size too small. I would have preferred just a tiny bit more wiggle room.
