I wear Dansko shoes to work everyday for standing a long time. The new manufacture of these shoes is not as good quality as it used to be. They are now made smaller. I have 8 pairs of Dansko's in size 37. The new 37 is too short and tight. I have a very narrow foot, so too tight is normally not a problem. And the foot bed is wearing and not holding up like my Dansko's in the past. I am very disappointed with the changes that the company has made. I have tried the size 38 in other styles, only to find they are too big. I am afraid I will not be buying Dansko's any longer.
I ordered these shoes a week before a three week trip to the UK. They arrived in 3 days and I had no time to "break them in" before the trip. I wore them almost every day and walked miles and miles. They were comfortable from the very first day and looked nice besides!
While I don't wear Dansko everyday, I find that they are one of the best made shoes, with excellent support. Some of the styles look "clunky", these sandals are strappy and stylish while still giving great arch support.
I had a previous style that I literally wore out!
The Dansko clogs I had purchased with the same base as the Mirabelle were the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn (especially helpful for plantar fasciatis). So I purchased these sandals for spring and summer wear. I loved everything about them, except the leather on the soles was a completely different texture between the right and left shoe. The left was smooth and durable; the right was crepey, wrinkled and thin. When I walked, the thin leather stuck to my heel and made a sucking sound. I'm surprised that at over [...] Dansko's quality control is so weak. OnlineShoes, however, [...] customer service person told me to just exchange the sandals for another pair. At least the 2nd pair was consistent: both soles were wrinkled! Oh, well, at least now the sucking sound is coming from both feet equally. I guess I'll keep this pair, since they're so comfortable.
These were the only sandals that I wore on a weeks vacation! Comfy right out of the box!! I now have them in black and brown!
When my doctor recommended I wear Dansko clogs during my recovery from plantar fascitis, I envisioned myself wearing ugly "teacher shoes" all summer long! I was so pleasantly surprised to find that Dansko makes incredibly comfortable, supportive shoes that are stylish as well. I have received so many compliments on these sandals and my foot has recovered really well. I can go on long walks in these sandals and I get complete support. These use the same footbed as the clogs and even have the seal of approval from podiatrists. I also bought Dansko Merrie clogs and those are super comfy and cute, too. Whenever my plantar fascitis flares up, I wear my Danskos for a few days and my foot feels back to normal.
I really liked these shoes, however, I felt the straps were not an attractive style for my chunky foot.
I usually like the staple clogs but this design felt too "floppy".
This summer I took two trips...a walking tour in Copenhagen and a trip to Ireland and England. In Copenhagen, we averaged eight miles a day (I wear a pedometer) and my feet were extremely happy nestled in my Mirabelles, cobblestones and all! In the UK, we didn't walk as much but I was still smiling because my feet NEVER bothered me. How many travelers can say that?
Thank you for providing me with such comfort and style!
I have problems with my feet and I have to wear supportive shoes. Dansko provide the best support of any shoe except my athletic shoes with my orthonics in them. I find the best selection through [...]. And the prices are the same of less than the retail stores around here.
