These shoes are more than just a flat black sandal. The silver studs and buckle embellish and dress up the shoe so it could easily be worn out for a casual evening. The leather is soft and supple and feels comfortable. The base of the shoe is wooden with a slight heel which also lends to it be worn for different occasions. Great shoe, good construction, and fun to wear.

I've only had them for a few months so I can't comment on their durability. If you like wearing the "old-timey" Dr. Scholl's, you'll love these. They're very comfortable! I tend to walk a little slower in these shoes because I'm afraid at some point the leather strap near the heel might come detached from the wooden sole. It's so hard to find unique shoes and if you're looking for something not too many people have, these are the shoes for you.
