THIS IS THE MOST COMFORTABLE SHOE I HAVE WORN IN A LONG TIME. I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY FEET AND WHEN I STAND OR WALK FOR LONG PERIODS, MY FEET CAUSE TERRIBLE PAIN. I HAVE WORN THESE SHOES TO WORK STANDING AND DAY AND MY FEET DO NOT HURT NOR DO I GET AS TIRED.

When I first got these, I wasn't sure I would like them. The "lowered" heel felt incomfortable, and the instep felt too high. I wore them for a very short time the first time, a little longer the next time, and by the 3rd time I put them on, I FELL IN LOVE! These are SO comfortable now and I'm very glad I didn't return them. If anyone else has this same feeling when you first put them on, just give them a small break-in period and you'll think differently.

I have right plantar fasciitis. This condition is extremely painful and I decided I needed a good supportive shoe to see if that helped my condition at all before I went to the expense of custom orthotics. Within hours of receiving these sandals (I put them on immediately), the pain was significantly reduced. Now, after several weeks, they are the only shoes I want to wear! They are wonderful! They are also an attractive sandal, which is just another plus. Now I want you to make an oxford and a low cut lace boot that are just as good so I can wear them during our Montana winters.

I love the style of these shoes, but I avoided them because I didn't think I would like the heels being lower. I ordererd them anyway, expecting to send them back because of the lack of comfort.
Happily, I was very surprised to find them as comfortable as Ecco, which I have been wearing for years. I was hoping to purchase another pair of these in a lighter color, but haven't been able to find any in my size. I find these very comfortable for walking, although I haven't hiked with them, so I can't say how they would be for that.
I would guess they would be fine.

This is a very good quality sandal and was recommended to me by more than one foot specialist. Unfortunately, I have a very specific need due to three surgeries on my left foot and this sandal did not work for me but I was impressed with its features and quality.

I've been searching a long time for the perfect sandal and this is it. It gives lots of cushion on the bottom, great arch support, an adjustable fit that allows them to be comfortable even if my feet swell a little. This is really a very comfortable shoe for someone with as many foot problems as I have.

I bought this shoe because of a morton's neuroma on the bottom of one of my feet. It is perfect! Very comfortable--there's no pressure on the ball of my foot so no pain--because of the footbed construction. My foot is wider at the toes and narrow at the heel, so the velcro adjustable straps allow enough adjustment for it to fit just right. As an artist, I am on my feet painting everyday. This shoe is comfortable all day long.

I bought 2 pair of these in different colors - and I am SOOOOO glad I did! They are terrific! The don't look too clunky, they are extremely comfortable, and they took no breaking in or getting used to at all. I wear one pair around the house, and the other pair I wear when I'm out. (I was afraid I might beat-up the one pair with constant use, thus the 2nd pair for "out". However, neither pair is showing signs of wear at all.) Very well constructed. Should last for years and years. A superb investment.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this shoe when I first tried it on since the heel of the shoe is "lower" compared the the arch of the shoe. But after a couple of days of adjusting to the fit, I no longer notice the sinking heel, but only how comfortable they are. I wear them everyday and like them more and more each time I put them on. There are many brands with this typical style, but MELISSAS are truly comfortable and attractive.
