I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A PAIR FOR TRAVEL OR JUST WALLKING AROUND. THEY ARE COMFORTABLE IN WARM OR COLD WEATHER. THEY WILL BE GOING ON MY NEXT TRIP - THEY SLIP ON AND OFF EASILY FOR AIRPORT SECURITY, ETC.

I had always heard of Birkenstocks, but didn't own any. I was having heel pain and my podiatrist said I had a bone spur. He recommended orthotics for any shoes I wear, but Birkenstocks were the only shoes he said I could wear "as-is". The footbed supports the entire foot, from heel to toe and all the arches in-between.
When you first put them on, they feel completely foreign! I was told it is best to wear them a few hours at a time for the first couple of days. They won't cause blisters, but your feet will get tired in a few hours, at first. I think it is because we are so used to wearing unsupportive shoes. But by the third day, I was feeling great wearing them.
I've worn sandals before, but never when I was expecting to walk any distance. I have walked for miles straight in Birkenstocks and my feet felt better than when I wore sneaks. I am thinking I may never wear anything else.
Birkenstocks have been made in Germany since 1774! I guess they know what they are doing! If you normally wear medium width, get the narrow. If you wear wide width, get the regular. If you wear a half size, these only come in full sizes, so order the lower size. They run a little bit long.

For the first time ever I have a pair of Birkenstock's that fit. I have a long narrow foot. Medium width Birkenstock's were always just to wide no matter how you would shorten the straps the size was wrong. Now with these Birkenstock in a narrow width they are perfect. Thank you Birkenstock for remembering the narrow foot.

My daughter had problems with her toes being numb,My mother suggested these shoes,she "had the same problem[...]within one week they started working,now she wears them all the time,she thinks they are her magic shoes,all the feeling came back to her toes,she stands all day at her job.Thank you so much for your product,Dave,a thankfull father.

I had a problem with my heal and the shoe took care of it. I wear them all the time. Even when I get up to go to the bathroom in the night.
The support is great. I had to do the same thing about 4 years ago.
I tell everyone who has the same problem to use the same shoe.

I love my Birkenstocks. I have at least five pairs that I regularly wear. This Arizona pair I actually purchased for my mother. She has always worn them and she needed a new pair so I got them for her for Christmas. She has trouble finding shoes that fit and once you start wearing Birks you can't find anything else as comfortable. She was thrilled to get them.

For someone who has flat feet & an old foot injury this is a great sandal at a great price.
