No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Too small for me, although other size 7 Tevas were perfect. Foot bed did not offer the usual cushioning that I have become accustomed to in a Teva product. All around support was not there. However, if you like the barefoot feel, then you would like this shoe. Just your foot and the ground was what they felt like. This shoe does not offer much in the way of protection from rocks and branches, or city streets.
