I got these for an upcoming trip to Hawaii. Needed something that could go in and out of the water. I have been wearing them almost daily at home. The strap around the heel keeps my foot snuggly in the shoe. I have difficulty finding shoes that don't slip off my heel due to the orthotics I wear.
Have gotten comments on what a great looking shoe it is - even my podiatrist was impressed by how lightweight it is, the stability of the sole and how good it looks!
One minor issue: the heel strap has a tendency to slip and not stay snug.
I love the comfort, how well my feet fell after i had them all day from beach to sailing to walking the city at night. they dry well on your feet. when you take them off in muggy weather they dont dry fast. overnight yes. Color is great - they look and feel like sneaker.
I got a pair for my girls and husband. He loves His and said over and these shoes are great. now he wears them all the time. your feet do not sweat and stays dry.
i use my shoes for every day use and for golf-love the fold down back which is how i have them most of the time but put it up for golf. the fact that they dry fast helps when walking the beach. i wish the green and charcoal came in my size.
I am not a super athlete but this is a great shoe for summer. They are great for kayaking, canoeing, trekking around trails and beaches on vacation and even for visiting waterparks with the kids.
And they look cool too!
I got the Techamphibians because I needed good summer wet-wading shoes--sandals always let in too many rocks (ouch!) and come off too easily in silt. The mesh is not small enough to keep out all the rocks, but they are a definite improvement over sandals. They also have a decent tread for underwater terrain, a wide base which lends stability, and the half-size up accomodates my neoprene socks--and they dry out quickly! Pretty good for not actually being designed for fishing!
I looked forever before finding this shoe. Its perfect for summertime.
