An 8-1/2 is not always an 8-1/2. These shoes are! They are the most comfortable sports shoe and the sizing is perfect. East slip on and off. I bought these specifically for water aerobics but they feel so good that I might just wear them for everything.

I haven't washed them yet but will update the review if there are any problems.

I bought these shoes for my girlffirend, Amy. We fly fish a lot and she uses them to wet wade while fishing. She loves them. They don't allow a lot of crud inside like some water shoes do. Only the sandiest river bottoms will show some gravel or sand in the shoe. She wears them barefoot and always comments on their comfort. They have held up well to a rocky river bottom as well. No signs of coming apart anywhere so far and that is a whole summer of walking in boulderi strewn and rocky rivers. The tractions is ghreat on dry and wet rocks as long as there isn't a lot of algae. Only felt and studded sole shoes work best in those conditions. Great shoe!
