Shoes are great for the gym or on a trail. Soles are soft and comfy. Great for running.
Great for trail running. soles are very comfy. Laces are different and would rather have traditional lace up.
I said true to size but might be a half size big for some. Love these shoes. Use them for running but think they'd also be great for light hiking, travel and everyday use. My experience: roadside running in varied conditions including very wet, rugged and sometimes icy.
Ran a 10-minute-mile pace marathon in dry conditions, ~60 degree weather, in these with no blisters, etc., and some other 10+ mile runs. Not a big trainer/competitor, so a comfortable shoe is more important than fast. So far shoes look hardly worn even though I usually see noticeable heel wear after a short time. Definitely planning to get additional pairs. Lacing system is great once you get used to it. Have smaller feet, medium width, arches on the higher side. Another shoe I've had good luck with is the Montrail Hurricane Ridge Goretex but the Salomon lacing system sells me on these right now. Shoes with a waterproof barrier are generally more expensive but it make a big difference for wet climates!
I'm a clinic and OR nurse, I wear these shoes to work. My feet and legs never felt better.
