Very comfortable for general use. Not enough arch support/stabilization for serious running. Very easy to slip on and off.

This is my second pair and I love them in dry weather, but if the grass is wet, my feet get wet, online shoes has been great about exchanging these. I live on a farm and am out in all kinds of weather walking and I need a good shoe for support and keep my feet dry.
Besides the feet getting wet they are great shoes and hold up very well.

I used this shoe 5 days a week when I go trail running. I only run 5 miles a day, but these shoes have lasted me a whole year. I used them in every weather condition - even snow. They provided me with the traction I needed in the woods on steep trails, dried quickly after a soaking run, and felt so light that I swear I could've kept going and going. The tread has finally worn down, and I'm shopping for aother pair. I loved these shoes so much I'm half tempted to buy them again. I reccomend these to any serious trail runner.

Purchased this along with Merrelll Cruise Control. Both were 7.5. Overdrive is narrower--compared the insert (exact same one used in each) and you can see that the insert is pinched on sides to fit in Overdrive.
Wore both on treadmill for 20 minute jog. Yes, snug for 7.5 and going up to 8.0 only means it will be longer--but wider...anyways. I returned them and kept Cruise Control.

I am a dedicated dog walker and walk in all weather. These shoes are great on gravel, dirt and paved surfaces. The shoes were comfortable from the first day and did not need a "break in " period. I did buy them one half size larger. The shoes feel light on my feet and fine in hot muggy weather.

I use my shoes for dog walking & general use. I opted for the Waterproof version after I had the Overdrive & loved them (except for the lace locker breaking). With these shoes they included regular laces with them, which was nice. Although the lace locker has worked fine on these shoes, they have not been waterproof. I have had them a while (purchased in 2007), and I did not notice leakage at first, but now just walking in wet grass will get my feet extremely wet. Which is a shame since I love the Overdrive model. I just purchased the Overdrive II-I will from now on plan on using my Overdrives for drier conditions when possible.

This is a great shoe that is sized too small. If you need them for a race or a trip it may take some time to find the right size. [...] It took two tries to get the right size even though I ordered up a half size. In the end the full size gave me enough toe room. Merell seems to make a large heel and a small toe box,

I use these shoes for everything, walking, shopping, just standing.
These shoes are light weight. The color is not what I would have picked but for outdoor use they are fine. They were 1/2 size to small.
I ordered these shoes from this company because they were rated by other people and that was what I was looking for. I would buy these shoes again. They do stable your foot.

Great shoe! I get great traction and my foot feels comfortably snug in the shoe. Puddles and snow are no problem and I love the lightness of the shoe: a perfect trail running shoe.

I love these shoes! I first purchased a pair, then a very good friend of mine and my mother purchased their own pairs after trying on my shoes. They love them, too!

These are my favorite shoes! The Gore-Tex is absolutely worth the price. My daily dog walks involve strolls through wet grass but my feet stay dry. I'm a devoted Merrell customer because I can always count on quality and fit.
I love this product & will buy it again!
