Merrell's are the best fit for me. I am not a trail runner so my needs are different from athletes, but I have had foot problems & have to be choosy with shoes. These are very supportive for my fast-paced walking and also for light hiking. They are nice & roomy in the toe box but have the narrow heel which most women need, so the shoe does not slip at all. Very comfortable, with no break-in period needed.
