I ended up with what I thought was a heel spur (turned out to be a callus from improper shoe-support) and decided to try these cute Merrell's that someone I know had bought. I'm really glad I did. My foot doesn't hurt at all when I wear these. They are so comfy and really cute! I'm going to stick with Merrell's. I'm not sacrificing my feet anymore. You can't go wrong with these!

Very cute shoes but they left my feet in shambles. After wearing for about an hour, I had giant blisters on both pinky toes and one big toe and both of my feet plain hurt.

This is my second pair of Merrell Capers. I have had the black and grey pair for five months now and wear them constantly. Because I liked them so much I bought the navy and blue pair. I have used my capers for trekking in the hills in Massachusetts and California (they got a bit messed up in California where a lot of the brush was sooty from a fire the prevous year but they cleaned up well). These shoes are good looking and comfortable - I wear them to work a lot as I work in an emergency room and have to stand on my feet a lot. I also wear them for everyday use as they look good but can withstand a lot of wear and tear.

At first this shoe felt tight around my ankles and I had misgivings about the style but after just a coule of wearings it fits like a glove with or without socks. It is easy to get on and off and yet stays put on my foot for walking or working around the house. Great fit and very adaptable. Looks great with jeans for shopping and play.
As the other posters have noted, these shoes are form-fitting and a little trouble to put on. However, that's what makes them so comfortable once they are on. They're like a second skin. And they look good and have excellent traction.

Really comfy soles so great for walking. They need a bit of breaking in though as they are a little snug around the ankles.

A cute shoe that I would have loved if they were not so difficult to pull on and off. I am not sure if ordering a half size bigger would solve the problem.

I love this shoe. It can be worn with or without socks. The liner comes out and the shoe washes easily. It is a bit tight at the top until they are worn a few time, even though, the shoe didn't cause blisters.

The Merrell Caper is a very comfortable casual. It looks great with athletic wear as well as jeans.
