I love this boot! It is the most comfortable footwear I own. I have arthritis in my feet and this boot really helps that. The only thing I don't like about it is that the laces come untied a lot.

I bought these boots two weeks ago for up coming hiking trips.I thought I would need time to break them in.Boy was I wrong they are great.I have worn them 12 to 14 hours a day and they feel great. I have been wearing them on several surfaces, concret, gravel, trails, and even a walking track. No sore spots what so ever.I did buy some hiking socks just because I was advised to to keep sweat away from your feet. The only thing people may have a problem with is they are a little heavy. This is not a problem for me but I know some people would want to know that.
This is my first pair of Merrell shoes but it will definantly not be the last

This is my second Merrell purchase and they fit my feet great--wide at the front and not at the heel. This hiking boot was exactly what I wanted. Two weeks after I bought these boots I wore them on an overnight backcountry trip. They were comfortable and provided good support. The problem I had was the right boot top rubbed against my ankle and I developed a sore. I think the boots needed more breaking in time. I only wore them a few time before this hike.
