I live in the high desert and walk daily in loose sandy soils with lots of rock outcroppings. These shoes have great traction and stability and are a joy to wear. The second day I wore them my heel rubbed a little against the back of the boot but I discovered the laces were too loose and fixed that and now they are so comfortable that I tried to order another pair, but they were sold out. I am not surprised, these are great hiking boots. They give lots of support yet are lighter than other hiking boots I have tried.

Very light, somewhat waterproof, very comfortable to hike all weekend in. Have been a hi tec customer for years and wouldnt purchase any other hiker.
