Had a pair of original ventilators, which were some of the best shoes I ever put on my wide feet.

They held up well, had great traction, and dried quickly after a dip in a river.
So I was thrilled to get the ventilators siren once again.

I was very disappointed.
They look nice thought I did have to go up a half size to get the fit I wanted.
After being on semi rocky, and stoney terrain for three days, I am not a very happy camper ( no pun intended)
These were presented to me as a trail shoe, and after about four hours I certainly was feeling the trail.
Every stone, rock, and bump. Like the proverbial pea under the mattress.
The tongue sides also were stiff digging into the top of my foot.
I wll continue to wear them for a while longer, as for the money I spent on them, they cannot live in the closet.
But it will be on pavement or grass, and I'll save the trail work for my next pair of shoes.
I am hoping that this is just a isolated incident as I like Merrell shoes, and have worn different styles for years.

I wear these shoes on neighborhood walkways (paved, dirt, and gravel); on the local town streets; and when walking from my home through the woods (not a public trail) to a local conference center, where I walk the trails. When I finish with a strenuous walk, I do not feel the need to remove these shoes. I love the support and comfort that all of my Merrell shoes provide me and will continue to purchase this brand because I can wear Merrells all day long and my feet do not hurt at the end of the day. I specifically feel that the "Q-form" in the women's shoes have made a positive impact for the support, comfort, and the health of my feet and back.

Merrells are the only shoe that I am satisfied with consistently. I purchased my first pair of athletic shoes in 2005, and purchased my Encore Chills in 2006, and 2 pairs of Breeze in 2007. My feet never hurt in the evening if I have worn my Merrells, and Onlineshoes usually have the best deals.

I've only worn these shoes hiking once so far, but I love them already! They add a spring to your step. They feel so light and you almost bounce as you walk. I didn't break them in before hiking, and my feet didn't hurt one bit. The color is great (I got the ones with the yellow stripes). I would highly recommend these shoes.

I have tried many walking shoes and every one of them gave me blisters or hurt my feet. These do not - they are superb. No more aching feet. They are more of a hiking shoe, but I use them as a power walking shoe. I walk 5 miles a day and they are so comfortable. They almost seem to power you off for each step. Traction is great, fit is super, the look is fantastic. I have purchased 2 more pair. Please don't ever quit making these shoes.

They're the best fitting walking shoes I've ever had and the great colors make my feet look smaller and slimmer. Even with my size eights they are so much better looking than those gigantic white boats that get grubby after two wearings. My feet don't get as sweaty as they did in my old shoes.

This shoe is built for a woman's skeletal structure. After wearing it on several day hikes recently, my legs (and especially hips) did not feel the usual aches. It is also very light - and even though it is a 'ventilator' model, with a wool sock, it's very warm. Also, it did not require any breaking in - comfortable from day 1. I love it.

This shoe is so light in weight and gives me VERY good support. This is my second pair. I usually wear a 7.5 in Merrells, but in this shoe I needed an 8. They would be great hiking shoes but I use them mostly just for everyday, my daily walks included. They are great and you will love them. I have recommended them to many other people.
