Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!
I am on my feet A LOT. So, I got these shoes to be what I wear to work...And these shoes have NOT let me down. They are extremely comfortable. In fact, I had them shipped to where I work and when they came in, I put them on right away. My feet were already sore from being on them so much, but as soon as I put these on- my feet started singing for joy. I immediately spilled something on them too, but the water resistant material allowed me to wipe it right off. Love them.
Wear these to the gym and around town on my casual days. It is too soon to say how quickly they wear out, but if they are similar to other Keen products, they will put up a good fight before they wear out. laces tie up very smoothly and evenly all along the tongue. And the padding under the tongue is not so much that it cuts circulation. Foot bed has the quality I like in Keens the best: it is firm and supportive, yet soft and comfortable. I don't know how Keen makes a shoe with both of these features (as they would seem to conflict), but they do and my Shellrock WP's ROCK!
We have a farm and nursery my Keens are comfortable, skid proof, and water resistaint. I love them! The Shellrocks seem to fit a little wide at my heel. I have many styles of Keens and will comtinue to buy them.
I just wore my shoes on a hike rated moderately hard, and the shoes performed great. They worked very well on the rocks and over the creek. They kept my feet dry and feeling very light, but stable. I will definitely buy more Keen. Thank You

I am a 70 yo retired nurse. I'll bet I have walked a hundred thousand miles. I have tried every brand of shoe out there. Why couldn't I have found Keen's Shellrocks sooner! I love the toecap and the wide toebox. They are stable on rough ground. I still have a lot of steps to take and I plan to take them in Keens.
This is my 2nd pair of Keens ! I ordered mine 1/2 size bigger then what I normally wear (learned when buying my 1st pair). VERY comfortable shoe, I wear them nearly everyday....I am overjoyed with my purchase and highly recommend them. I will be buying more Keens from this site.
Had to return the shoes because they ran too small & my size was then unavailable. Seems like they would've been decent shoes.

I love Keen Shoes. Sizes for me depend on the style of Keen shoe. I usually wear 7.5 in Keen's. My Keen Targhee's were 8.0. I have seen the Shellrock shoes described as trail runners or day hikers. I definitley would not recommend these for trail running. They would be questionable for day hikes. The shoe is more sleek and low profile than other Keen day hikers like the Targhee. The heel doesn't come up far enough to enclose and support the heel. The sole is not cushy.
I use these shoes at work. I stand for long hours at a time. The sole is stable but stiff and in some instances slippery.
They do look great with jeans. They are not as clunky as runners or day hikers.
I would recommend them for everyday wear. I would never have bought these at full price. Even the sale price is steep especially when I don't think they would perform as promoted.
However, I would recommend them for a coolness factor.
.
just bought these, and I love them. they are nice and stylish, yet still functional for my acitve lifestyle. Very comfortable, and perfect traction.
I never got a chance to use the Shellrock, Keen, and if I had I would be walking on rocks with them this spring on lake Huron, where I collect rocks and thats not easy. The terrain is very rough, so the Shellrock, Hiker would have made my feet and me very happy if they had fit me...I Own 4 pair of Keen Shoes, Hikers, walk abouts, and Sandals....and I LOVE THEM ALL......AND THE SHELLROCK, HIKER COULD HAVE BEEN ONE OF THEM.......
I returned this shoe because it was a little too small, but also because it was too much like a hiking boot - which I did not expect. I have 2 pairs of hiking boots already and was looking for something a little lighter and mid-way between hiking and sport shoe. But, it's cute.
I am a a standard eight & a half. I ordered a nine in Shellrock and it was too short and narrow. I exchanged it for a nine and a half and it was too long.
As I tried both sizes on and walked up and down the carpeted hall, it seemed that the Shellrock might be a "sock walker"; each step felt like the sock was inching down toward the heel. I think that might be due to the shoe not having enough structure over the heel.
I like the Keens as they usually have plenty of toe room, but these shoes didn't. This shoe may be for the narrower footed person.
These shoes didn't fit my foot.
Since I've received these shoes I think I've worn them every day - to work, for walking, for whatever I'm doing. They are the most comfortable KEEN's I've ever worn and I own about 20 pairs of KEEN's! You won't be disappointed. I usually wear a 9, but often in KEEN's I wear a 9.5 depending on the style and these are one of them.
I own several pairs of Keen footwear and have loved every pair. Until now. The Keen Shellrock did not offer the comfort and support that I expect with Keens. I was extremely disappointed when I wore these shoes and because of them did not enjoy my hike that day. I hike on many surfaces to include trails and concrete. When hiking the trails my heel moved around alot and I ended up with a blister. When walking on concrete I had less discomfort, but was still not satisfied.
Looking for an athletic shoe that's enclosed for the gym as comfortable as the Keen Sandal, and this just isn't it. The sole of the shoe is lacking any cushion or pad, and replacing the insole with a store-bought replacment still feels like you're walking on a piece of thin wood. It's a very cute shoe, but if you need padding for your workout like I do, it's not the one.
I have owned 6 or 7 pairs of Keen's with great success. And these are no different. Excellent support and comfortable to hike in for hours. And more importantly they look really cool!
i wear these shopping an walking around the block
