I had the beginnings of plantar faciitis(heel pain) and these boots are so well cushioned that the pain was minimized. They are waterproof with excellent traction. Actually I like to make shoe tracks in the snow and then look back at the design I made. These boots keep you snuggly warm. When everyone else goes home due to cold, wet feet, I'm still out there trekking. These Keens are well made. I hope to get many years of wear out of them (Keine Hore). The only thing I would add is that these run a half size too big, so keep that in mind.

I was disappointed with this shoe the eyelets were falling out when they arrived which does not speak well of expectations on the construction. The volume of this shoe is extremely snug. I did not get a sense of breath ability. I look for a hiking boot to last a while- at least three years. I look for a fit where I can wiggle my toes--no wiggle room here.

So far I am very please with the product. They are comfortable and provides the stability that I wanted. I like the extra room in the toe area and my feet stay warm on the really cold days..... so I don't have to cut my walks short.
