I was surprised at how comfortable these were! No matter what, it seems when I wear shoes without socks they rub on my ankle, but these were great! They fit true to size and are a great casual shoe choice!!

I learned about this shoe through BarkingDogShoes.com. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and am always looking for a stylish shoe that will accommodate my heel and has decent arch support. I just returned from a vacation where I did plenty of walking and tried on my Benicias. My heel pain totally disappeared! These shoes have decent arch support AND have heel pods that add extra cushion for troublesome heels. I wish I would have had these BEFORE vacation!!! I will be buying another pair soon!

I love the shoe...very cute, get lots of compliments on it. But for as comfy as the shoe is on my left foot, it is just as UNcomfortable on my right. The back of my ankle just plain hurts and it also rubs on the outside of my pinky toe. I'm hoping that it will ease up with a bit more wear.

I really liked these shoes initially, they have good support for my arches, but they caused blisters on the backs of my ankles when I wore them all day. When I wear them, I have to put band aids where they rub on this portion of both my feet--see picture.

I absolutely love this shoe! Best x-mas gift from husband this year. I was able to put this shoe on for the first time and had no adjustment issues such as blisters etc. They were comfort and cute from the get-go. I get compliments on them on the time. They are perfect for my lifestyle as social worker/mom, adventurer, nature lover etc. I can pair them with a skirt and still look stylish and be comfortable. This is the shoe for my life as it is now. I am always out walking with the baby, and this shoe is also great for walking, hiking etc.
The first time I wore these shoes was for traveling. I was in airports all day and found them super comfortable! I had no problems with rubbing and they fit true to size.I wore my Ahnus all last summer and love them so much, I've ordered another pair for this summer! You can wear them with just about anything- skirts, shorts, pants. I have worn them to walk 4-5 miles and even work out at the gym without a problem. I cannot count the number of people who have stopped and asked me where I got my shoes!

These shoes are so adorable, the cutest I've found for just bopping around the house and running errands with the kids, but, man-oh-man, do they hurt! The back of the shoe comes up very high, so it rubs continuously on the Achilles heel part of your foot. I even went to another online shoe company and looked up some more reviews from people who had purchased this shoe; lots of people recommended putting pads in the heels to lift your heel high enough to avoid the pain...that didn't even work with these shoes! The company needs to work on the back part of this shoe. Also, in order to get the shoe to fit, I had to order a half size bigger than I normally wear, and that ended up resulting in a really wide footbed, especially where the narrowest part of my foot was. I really wanted these shoes to work, but they were just too, too painful. I'll be sending them back.

I ordered a half size larger than I normally wear, because the description stated that they ran short. The length is fine but are a little wide. A foam insole helps.
