Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
A great shoe for walking where you don't mind getting your feet wet, including on a river shore, or a beach (Waikiki has sharp coral bits, don't go in the water barefoot). Would be great for boating. But versatile enough for walking around town, driving, wearing on a hot summer day. I like the mesh sides that keep rocks from coming in, unlike many sandals.
