Boy do I love these shoes! So much that I just bought another pair to keep for later use. My family just went to several locations in the Caribbean and Central America. I wore these shoes snorkeling in Honduras and Cozumel. Wore them to Sting Ray City in the Cayman Islands, and wore them on a three mile jungle hike through the rain forest in Belize and then cave tubing. The Waterpro Ultras have held up perfectly. I wore them at times with socks and at times without. They are extremely comfortable and light. No break-in required and no blisters or any sore spots at all. They can be a walking shoe, hiking shoe, running shoe, and water shoe. They’re so light an comfy, I wear them pretty much every day now. Excellent purchase.
These are my 5th pair and I use them all the time.
This shoe is built very well. It is designed to shed water quickly. For those of you like me who have very sweaty feet, your feet will stay cool and the shoe will not be damaged. Be warned that in the winter your feet may be colder than desired as air will actually blow through some of the vents.

I am a med student in the caribbean and these shoes are fantastic. The weather is so warm and being around water makes these shoes definitely a big plus.

I wear these shoes everyday. The only thing they aren't good for is winter use, unless you have waterproof socks, then they're perfect for anything and everything. They're amazingly durable also, not any sign of wear nor tear and I've worn them every day for the past 6 months, including backpacking through sand, up mountains, etc. They are, in my opinion, much better for backpacking than big boots because they dry in about 1 hour in the sun, and hang them up to dry during the night and they'll be ready for you the next morning. If you have ankle problems, however, you may want to look at boots for backpacking, but for anything else, buy these shoes! You will not be disapointed!
I've gotten so many compliments on this shoe. The only problem is that I have a hard time taking the shoes off and on. I have high arches so the sole is not enough for the support. They dry quickly and traction is average.
I bought these for my son--he absolutely loves them. They drain (and dry) quickly.

Using them for one year, still no sign of wear and tear. Sticky to all surfaces, dries quickly, feels light and durable.

I really love this product. Have looked at it for some time. I think describing it as a just a Watersport sells the product short. Anyone in need of very light footwear will enjoy it.

This is a very comfortable shoe and provides excellent traction on wet and dry surfaces. I use these while riding Jet Ski's in the Columbia River. The shoes give excellent traction on the wet and slippery rocks, as well as on my ski. They are comfortable, although they could use some additional arch support. If you have a flatter, wider foot, the shoe would probably fit better than with my very narrow feet with high arches. They dry quickly and are good for all day wear in and out of the water. I probably wouldn't spend this much on these again, I would probably go with Keen next time.

This shoe performs like a pro, wet or dry it just plain works. It is a little difficult to remove but that may not be a bad thing. They are comfortable enough to wear on a all day fishing trip and then to dinner after that.

I bought the Ultra Sport for myself and and soon as I got them, one of my sons 'grabbed' them for himself. The my oldest son wanted them and I bought two more pair for us all. Great shoe, good looking and comfortable. We all use them at the beach and on the boat.

This is one of the best buys I have made in this department. It has all the benefits of a shoe and the comfort of a sandal. I am a geologist and I am always out getting dirty on trails and running into streams. I could not be happier.
My first Merrell show so no comparisons possible-perhaps not as light weight as one would like but gives excellent protection a nd stability

Great light weight hiking shoe...I have the Merrill hiking ankle high also, but these are nearly just as effective, and you just walk right through streams and shallow water. Super light weight. Very smartly designed. I did the Grand Canyon at Havasupai with them. In all, 30 miles of hiking over rocks and gravel, through water, and down canyon walls. Fun stuff!

I was in the market for a pair of shoes to accomplish a few main goals.
1. Shoes that I could wear boating/Kayaking that would dry fast, fit securely, and get me the traction I needed.
2. Shoes that I could throw on quickly as I left the house regardless of my attire(I am not a formal man at all).
3. Shoes that would be odor resistant due to my constant sport participation. I use them driving to and from soccer games.
These shoes filled those needs and more. Being a new geocacher, these shoes are my first selection in heading out. This way I can tumble through weeds, wade through a creek, and still hop in my car to drive home without dragging too much water with me. I also used them in my last kayaking trip, which I was very skeptical about due to the mesh sections. I stood in the muck quite a few times dragging my kayak and only once had to take a shoe off and dunk it under water to rinse some crud out. They fit very snug and adjust well around the ankle. That is VERY good compared to my other shoes. The thing I like the most though is the style. I think they are pretty unique and whether I have socks or not, I never worry about my shoes.
There is a couple of points I am not too fond of. One is the arch support. After hiking a good bit in them, I noticed my arches seemed to get a bit sore. The arch support is pretty weak, but I am also a bit touchy with arch supports in many shoes. I think it would be fine for most people. The other is the fact that when I wear them without socks, those darn insoles try to follow my foot out of the shoe every time. I learned to slowly take them off and I am fine now, but this con is offset by the fact that they drain water so nicely for me at least.

I walk miles every day in the city and these shoes are perfect. Cool and comfortable in the warm months, they look good and really hug the foot. They don't pinch my knoby toe joints and they weigh nothing. It's the next best thing to being barefoot, and, on a hot summer New York City sidewalk, they're the only thing!

These shoes are quite well-made, have an adjustment strap for fit on the heel, are very light and breathable. My feet never feel hot in these shoes and they dry quickly after being immersed. The sole grips wet surfaces very well.
