I find most shoes uncomfortabley warm. So I've been looking for an open mesh sneaker to wear for a LONG time!This is PERFECT! Finally a closed shoe that's every bit as cool (temperature wise) as sandles.I plan to buy a couple of extra pairs[...].

I bought these shoes for kayaking midwest rivers, where mud, sand, and gravel are abundent. I selected them because of the large expanse of mesh to allow dainage. When I got them I was disapointed by the inability to tighten them up sufficently with the elastic lacing system. I wound up knotting the Laces to get them tight enough to stay on, in the muck. I missed in the description that these were "Slip On".
I've decide to use them for non mud environments where a loose fit is not a problem. The soles and arch support are good, and they breath as well as sandles. Great for summer driving.
I've just ordered one of the Weatherpro models with solid lacing and adustable heals.
I own five other Merrell shoes, and pretty much wear this brand exclusively, based on fit , feel, and function.

Great shoe, performed exactly as expected. Main surprise was the lacing strap on one shoe was not sewn in, only glued. Within days the strap came off....looked dorky, but still like the shoe. Slow drying insole.
