Vasques Blur trail running shoe joined the ranks of Outside Onlines Gear of the Year for 2006. Dual density EVA makes up a cushioned insole for supreme shock reduction. Nylon lining meets the foot with soft and breathable comfort. Unique Keystone Control System stabilizes the midfoot, bringing adequate control for the over pronator. Ultra-light synthetic and mesh upper allows you to maintain an ideal outdoor pace. I bought this shoe to do my daily walking in. But as an artist, I like colorful stuff, so the red caught my attention. After I ordered it I thought it might be too red but upon receiving them they were perfect.

I bought these shoes because I need a WIDE, and was pleasantly surprised. I've been wearing New Balance for years and either my feet have changed or their last has as they don't fit anymore. The Vasque last fits great. This shoe has a great box toe with a nice bit of rubber on top to keep my toes from blowing out the fabric. The ball of the foot is wide enough (2E) so my foot isn't being squeezed uncomfortably. The heel is a little lose but with thick trail socks it's fine. Highly recommended shoe.

So good I bought 2 Pair.

Just what I was looking for. A great trail hiking shoe that provides comfort and stability, but doesn't feel like wearing bricks strapped to my feet. As an older walker/hiker it allowed me to go further. I really did like it so well I ordered a second pair.

I "will" buy the Blur in "wide" again.

I bought it because I used the Blur before on trails and it was one of the best trail shoes I have owned, simple, study, fairly light weight. Most important, I bought it because it comes in WIDE! Most trail shoes made today are not wide enough in the forefoot and do not have enough toe room. The Vasque Blur in wide is fairly good in this area.

I finally found a shoe I like. I use them for hiking on muddy, slippy forest trails, I've climbed mountains in them. I like the traction on the sole, great for wet conditions. This is my second pair and I hope Vasque continues to make the Blur. [...]
