Though I'm not a competitve runner, I have competed in the past (not my sport of choice for now) and I felt these shoes were very comfortable as a daily trainer. Maybe not race shoe quality, but they work well for road running, which is how I use them. No blisters or other issues that I have experienced during the break in period with other shoes.

Rugged on The Road but Rough on The Feet

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

At first I thought this would be a great shoe for offroad running. And it is! It's just that the toe box corners are so inflexible because of the rock gaurd that the balls of my feet become blistered drawing blood into them and creating large black pools on the corners of my feet. I know, too graphic, though I had to describe the damage. I can still run but not as fast or as aggressive when good tunes make the rotation on my device. I'm abandoning these for 1223's. Happy running!

I use the shoes to walk (quickly) for about an hour a day. Very comfortable out of the box. The N-LOCK is a super feature.

Husband wears them to work and play. Says they are comfortable and he likes his feet being dry. Nice for the hot weather we've been having.
