No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I bought these for the heel cushion, but that isn't as great as it seemed in the store. I've added Dr. Scholl's inserts since I bought them which seems to help. The upper is very cool and ventilated, and they don't smell at all. Within about a month of wear, the sole started to pull away from the upper. Overall not a bad shoe, but not great for the price.
