Disappointed

Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:

Sizing:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I ware these boots daily and on day hikes in the Rocky Mountains. I had these boots for less than a year and one of them is not waterproof, the toe guard is peeling away on both, the sole is separating on the inside of the arch on one, and one had the nylon eyelet wear through and break due to friction with the shoelace (its the first set from the top of the boot.) Seems like poor glue. Based on Merrel's reputation I was very disappointed in these boots, my first from them.

great fitting shoes for people with narrow width. Good ankle support, true waterproof shoes. I wish the material on the back of the shoe was reinforced because it wears holes in material exposing heel to hard under material causing pain. needs to be forming to ankle material.

Hike 4-12 miles a week, 40 weeks a year, Santa Barbara coast range, good fit for narrow heel. Seem to get 1.5-2 years out of a pair before I start slipping. Did Whitney in one day this year, feet hurt like heck last 3 miles, but I think everyones did.

Not good everyday boot, heavy and soft rubber that won't last long on pavement.

These Merrell Phaser shoes have given me 8 months of all terrain daily use.
As a meter reader I average 5-8 miles per day. The shoes have excellent arch support , comfort and durability. Leather held up well and did not separate from the soles. This is my third pair of this specific model and I highly recommend to anyone who is active and on their feet for extended periods of time.
