I am on my feet all day long on a cement surface doing a type of manufacturing work. These shoes have been the best shoe that I have purchased over the years that give me the stability and comfort I need for the long hours of being on my feet at work every day. The Merrell Radius shoe has stability and at the same time cushions my foot. I also use these shoes for taking walks and they seem to be a good shoe for two separate needs; work and exercise. I live in an area that gets cold and snowy in the winter and I will not have to buy a different shoe for my walks that I will continue to take during the winters months. I would definitely buy this shoe again. Good traction and is also very sturdy, durable and comfortable. Another plus when I don't have to buy shoes so often.

These are my second pair of Merrells. I also owned the previous incarnation of this shoe, the Reflex II, and wore the tread off of them completely.

This shoe is as good as the old ones. The fit and comfort of Merrells is as good or better than any shoe I have owned. I doubt I will ever switch from them. I wear this shoe everywhere doing everything. I even golf in them, because the traction and stability is as good or better than my golf shoes and they feel waaaaay more comfortable. I didn't buy the waterproof version because I wore the last pair through rain and snow and thought they WERE waterproof.

These hikers have everything you could want. The tread design is aggressive and works equally well on both soft and hard surfaces. I like having the cap over toe. Mine last pair got roughed up pretty good which is fine because that means no holes in the toe. They are comfortable and stylish and you won't regret buying them.

Now, my only beef with the Radius shoes is the laces. The ones that came with the pair I have will not stay tight. Short of double knotting them, they will always come loose, no matter how tight they are tied. It is annoying to have such a great pair of shoes diminished by a pair of laces that don't stay tight. I hope I just got a lousy pair of laces, but in fairness I had to mention it. It is the only reason the shoes get a 4.

Comfortable right out of the box. The first two days I wore them was to work at a Scottish Games event. That meant lots of walking, movement and time on my feet. They felt stable and solid while working on uneven ground. And they provided adequate width in the toe box (most shoes are too narrow there for me). I haven't had them very long, so can't comment on durability yet, but so far I'm very happy with them.

First pair of Merrell's and I am impressed with the true to form fit right out of the box. Comfortable. I also like the sturdy platform which provides stable performance. I weight about 195 and walking and working in these shoes is painless and pleasant. I am certainly looking forward to seeing how they hold up in the field as well. Multi-Sport means the shoe is designed to do many things well, but is also a compromise shoe, i.e. it isn't a running shoe, but you can run in them, just not as well as in shoes designed strictly for running, etc. It is an excellent addition to my collection of good, usable shoes.

I'll reserve the fifth star for later, depending on use/performance.

I felt comfortable wearing these shoes to some what formal dinners.
Wore them on our cuise in August and they did just great.
Wore them hunting this fall a few time and I could feel the sticks and other noise making material though the sole. This helped from making to much noise.

I have bought this shoe now twice. It has proven to be very rugged although I do add gel insoles from the start. I have fussy feet. I have found that the men's sizing gives me the extra width in the shoe that I like and do recommend men's sizing to any one with a wide foot. I'm taking this shoe to Grand Canyon soon for two weeks of hiking.
