I have had a pair of Mesa Ventilator II's for two years now. In that time, I have day hiked the Smokies, the Badlands, the Black Hills, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Yellowstone with them. With some clean up, they still look almost brand new. They keep your feet cool in summer and support the foot well on rocky trails. They are rugged yet surprisingly comfortable and light weight so you don't tire as fast on long hikes.
For spring to fall season hikes that don't involve water crossings, I would highly recommend these shoes. A good value. If mine ever wear out, I would buy another pair.

The Mesa Ventiltor II offers great support in a light weight day hiker. The mesh panels keep your feet cool while on the trail. I've had mine for 2 years and show very little wear. Highly recomended!
