I bought a full size larger than I normally wear, partly because I intend to wear thick socks with them, and partly because the other Keen shoes I have purchased seemed to run 1/2 size small.
I participate in a hawk count that runs through November in the Northeast US, and these have been very warm on the coldest of days.
I drive for a package company, and for 11 hours a day these boots get used and abused. They really stand up great to everything nature throughs at them,if your looking for a great boot this one wont disappoint!!
Great product. I have several Keen products and all are great!!
Real comfortable! Never really think I have shoes on.
Bought this boot for cold weather, outdoor hiking/standing. Boot is very warm and comfortable. Stood in snow and cold waiting for a parade in Quebec at night and feet were warm and traction was great. Looks like they will hold up under heavy use.
My husband loves this boot! This is his first Keen product and he is very pleased with it. He has always worn Ecco's in the past and swears by them, so to find another boot he loves is awesome. We purchased the Keen for the weatherproof and thinsulate and he is completely satisfied with them. He says they are also comfortable, they pretty much have the "broke in" feel without the breaking in. [...]excellent price. Thanks so much ONLINE SHOES, you never disappoint!!!
I live in the Midwest where the weather could be almost 70 one day and 25 the next, even though we havent seen that much snow yet I kinda want to get some more so I can really test out these bad boys!!! Overall they are great [...]!
Bought these shoes for my husband, he is car dealer and goes to alot of auctions- which are cold/wet and he is walking all day, he loves them
I like the look, plus comfort, plus the price is reasonable,I own many Keen shoes, boots. scandles, water friendly foot wear. [...]I use these products for casual wear, very comfortable!
this a great shoe for our cold snowy new england weather.
These are great boots,[...] I will DEFINITELY be ordering more KEEN products!!! [...]
I got these for work where I work in a freezer warehouse. They are very durable and comfortable. They keep my feet extremely warm in temperatures of -20. I would definitely recommend them.
The fit on these boots are fantastic! After reading reviews on the web, and going to stores and trying on Keen shoes for myself I decided to by a full size up from my normal shoe. I just got them today, and am about to trek out into Boston's first snowfall of the year...I can't wait
Sizing: As stated above I did by a full size bigger than my usual. I noticed that my Merrells stated as a US 9 were an EU 43, t Keen's show their US 10 as an EU 43. I decided to follw my size per the EU standard rather than the US and am happy I did so.
I have bought many Keen shoes over the years mainly because they are comfortable and fit my wide feet perfectly. I sized this Blackcomb model the same as my Targhee II hiking shoes and the Blackcomb's are much larger. The Blackcomb's are also uncomfortable. They do have a lot if insulation in the toe - feels like a snowboarding boot, but the heel area is really dense and not cushioned. At the end of the day, my feet ache- mostly in my heels, but overall too. I am sending these back due to the above, as well as, the fact that the insole on the right shoe is badly stitched and constructed. Instead of a thin layer of insulative material, the manufacturer folded the fabric right under my right heel causing a 1/8th inch raised lip. So along with the general discomfort these shoes bring, I have blistering on my heel! This is incidentally the second pair of Keens I have had to send back because of bad stitching. They are normally great shoes, comfortable and worth the money, but this model is not what I expected...
I broke these babies out of the box and put them on my dogs. The first day I put 8 miles on them while guiding for big game in Western Colorado. My feet felt awesome and the boots held up great.
The next night it snowed 2 feet. I wore these boots with gators and they were awesome. The only reason my feet were wet was from sweat and they never got cold. In 5 days I only swapped these for a different brand for a day so they could dry out.
We traveled from 8200 feet to above 9000 feet almost every day with a minimum of 7 miles a day and a rucsack. These boots never slipped or loss traction. Other guys with Irish Setters and Danners were losing traction where I did not. Those other names are great and I own them also. But these were just better boots on that day.
I bought these for my son as a birthday gift and he loves them!! He says they're very lightweight and very comfortable. He was also very impressed that they're supposed to keep his feet warm to 25 degrees below zero; he lives in Nebraska and keeping one's feet warm in the winter can be an issue! He said he's going to purchase another pair, so he'll have one pair for work and one pair for 'good'. That tells me that these boots are AWESOME!!
