No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I purchased these shoes for my daughter thinking that they were durable. Within less than a month's time the lights on one side of the shoe stopped working. Then recently I discovered that the lettering on the shoe was coming off. The amount of money that I paid for these shoes should have allowed them to last a lot longer without these problems happening. The other pair of shoes I purchased turned out to be the better shoe and they were cheaper. I would recommend anyone buy this pair of shoes for a child that is very active.
Simply love them!
