My son has WIDE feet and these shoes are the only ones I can find that dont hurt his feet.
Need more choices on wide shoes.
We had a different version of a New Balance shoe for my son that had some new-type strap which gave out after 1.5 weeks. The same New Balance shoe had some mesh-type look to it and its particular mesh ripped in a week. I was therefore nervous about spending more and buying another New Balance with mesh-type look to it (but we need the width found in New Balance shoes). These New Balance have proved durable so far. The mesh has held up and seems more durable that the pair I was referencing above. Also, it is best to have the tradition tie shoes, they are working much better than any new-type strap/Velcro set up. I recommend these shoes and think the price is worth it. The other "cheap" New Balance I had purchased at a local store which offered 'buy one, get one half price." It seems like I definately lost quality, despite the brand (is this bad luck or a typical trend?) in this particular circumstance. The full price New Balance from OnlineShoes.com was definately better quality and the price difference was only 10-12 dollars in the end.
Use this shoe for Physical Education in school. Prefer to wear it above the more expensive, higher number New Balance shoes we bought for school.
My only problem with the shoe is the shoe strings, they could be a little smaller in the length
