My 3-year old daughter is a girly-girl so I wasn't sure how well these shoes would go over with her but, after her first time wearing them, they are the shoes she chooses to wear the most. I'm guessing that they are comfortable because she'll even forget to take them off in the house. Usually she is bare foot the moment she walks through the door. After a couple rough play sessions at the park I put them in the washing machine and they came out looking brand new! They also air-dried quickly which was good because my daughter was upset having to wear another pair of shoes to go out and play. We've had them about 3 months now and they are still in great shape.

I purchased this shoe for my son and could not be happier! It is so well made and versatile. It is a great shoe for the warm humid\wet weather in the Northeast!

My picky six year old daughter had these last year and choose them again for this summer. I love the support (she has flat feet and there is a removeable insert) and the merrell quality shows, she puts them through the ringer and they still look good.

My child wears out a pair of shoes easily, however, I believe he will out grow this pair of shoes before they wear out. He wears them everyday and they still look goods as new. I will purchase another pair in a larger size for later use. I am amazed at the durability of this shoe. And not only is it durable it is comfortable, my 4 year old comments "Mommy, It's so Comfortable" just about every time he puts them on.

I bought my son this brand of sneakers two years ago, he wore them for nine months. He wore them everyday in that time period and they looked just as good from the first to the last day. He outgrew them before they showed any signs of wear. Well made. I am not usually loyal to one particular brand although I think I have found "the" brand. Comfortable and washable too!

This is the second time I've bought this shoe for my daughter. She is very active and hates for her feet to feel hot. Her school requires closed toe shoes & this is the best we've found. The (dark) soles don't mark the gym floor. And even though this is a "boy" color it looks cute her skirt and skort dress code bottoms. However we've not used them to trek in water and then out, so I don't know how comfortable they would be when wet.... but my daughter isn't the kind of kid that avoids puddles and I've not heard a complaint.

I have been wearing Merrell shoes for years so I bought my 7 year old daughter a pair and I think she has seen her last pair of Nike, Sketcher etc. You just can't beat the comfort, breathability and quality. She saw a physical therapist recently and the therapist was so impressed with our shoe choice that she took the shoes around the office to show them off.
