MY 6YR OLD SON LOVES HIS KEENS. HE HAS BEEN WEARING KEENS FOR THREE YRS. WE HAVE TRIED OTHER BRANDS AND HE WOULD COMPLAIN OF FOOT,LEG AND BACK PAIN. HE WOULD RUN IN THE HOUSE AND THE FIRST THING HE WOULD DO IS TAKE HIS SHOES OFF. WEARING THE KEENS HE KEEPS HIS SHOES ON AND I HAVE TO REMIND HIM TO TAKE THEM OFF. I DON'T KNOW WHY I ALWAYS TRY OTHER BRANDS WHEN I JUST END UP WASTING MONEY. WE ALWAYS COME BACK TO KEENS I THINK NOW I HAVE LEARNED MY LESSON. WE HAVE TRIED ALOT OF DIFFERENT STYLES OF KEENS AND LOVE THEM ALL. I LOVE KEENS MYSELF AND WILL WEAR NOTHING ELSE. THEY ARE BY FAR THE MOST COMFORTABLE SHOES . WE LOVE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE WATERPROOF AND THE TOE BOX IS BIG SO YOUR TOES ARE NOT CRAMPED IN THE SHOE AHH WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE THAT MAKES. I LOVE THE FACT THAT YOUR CHILD WILL OUTGROW THEM WAY BEFORE HE WOULD EVER WEAR THEM OUT. NOW THAT IS WHAT I CALL DURABLE! THE FIT IS PERFECT AND WITH ONLINESHOES PRICES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU CAN'T GO WRONG SO GIVE KEENS A TRY FOR YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN AND IM SURE YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED.
Very, very difficult to size. My son wears a 10 but had to go up TWO sizes. Had to send back and keep trying. Slightly hard for him to get on but he is determined! The back of one is quite stiff and so he tends to prefer other shoes... we're working on breaking them in. Love, love, love the looks and quality - just wish they were easier to size.

Only drawback--when putting on, tongue does not always stay where it should. 3.5 year old daughter can't put these on herself like her last pair of velcro sneakers, however, the comfort, style, and durability of these are important benefits.

I bought these shoes for my 3 year old son. The shoes are stylish, durable and easy to put on. My son loves these shoes - these are the third pair of KEEN he has.

These were easy to get on my almost 4 year old. We love Keen footwear. This brand is the best for active kids. These shoes can be dressy or casual.

I got these for my 4 year old. I wanted a shoe that would look great but also have the features of a sneaker to be appropriate for running and climbing outside. He prefers rainboots and Crocs, so it had to be something that was non-restrictive. After lots of looking around, we chose these because he loved his Keen Newport sandals which were very similar in terms of support and durability. I also wanted the toggle closure so that he could put them on by himself. I've found that although they are certainly big enough, they are sometimes difficult for him to get on independently, but it's getting easier. We are big fans of Keens! They are comfortable, well-made, and great-looking shoes.

I really liked the earlier reviews for this shoe, so I got them for my twins what a big mistake! First of all, both of my children have wide feet, so getting their actual shoe sizes was a big mistake. Also, the shoe size is smaller than the actual size of regular shoe I compared them along-side another shoe of similar style "same-size" and this shoe was two sizes smaller. Interesting enough one twin could fit the other twin's shoe because they have different size feet, just a bit loose, but I still kept them because I feel he will be fine in them. The other shoe had to go back, there was no getting the other smaller twins foot into the shoe. I was totally disappointed because his feet is a lot smaller.

I bought these for my 5 year old son as his everyday school shoe. These are great for gym also. Easy for him to get on and off. He loves the shoes and I will probably keep getting them when he outgrows them

This is a great shoe for kids, but our son has very thick feet and the tops of the shoes were uncomfortable for him. They are also difficult to put on for a 4 year old. We had to return them because they were just too small. Great functional shoe for most kids.

I bought these for my school-aged boys - they both love them! Easy to put on & tighten straps. I love shoes with wide toes (shaped like our feet) instead of pointed to give them plenty of wiggle room.

My little boy has thick, wide feet. Finding cute XW shoes for him was impossible until Keen came along. Keen shoes are the best fitting shoes for him - period!

This is my son's second pair of these. He really liked the first pair and they are easy to put on, good for bad weather, and attractive. Unfortunately his little brother thinks they are "ugly" so I cannot hand them down to him; he refuses to wear them will not even try them on. That is a problem since the are expensive and usually I can justify the purchase of pricey shoes by my children getting 2-3 years out of them. I have a pair for myself and I think they are very comfortable. They are perfect for wearing around town and hiking.

The best school shoes I have found. This is the third year school year I am buying these shoes. My nine year has to wear black shoes for school and these are the only ones that don't come home all trashed after the first day. The first year of school, I bought him three pairs of black shoes!
I finally found shoes that are durable enough for a rough and tumble little boy. These Keens were the answer! I like the fact that the toe prevents scuffing and general banging up of the shoe. Although I cannot say that he can hand down these shoes because they are pretty beat by the end of the school year, he certainly wears the previous year's pair for play and that gives it a little more bang for the buck.
My sister's little girl is starting school and I advised her to get these as well. The bright yellow bottoms give my son a little bit of flair too as I see him running across the school yard. Worth every penny and with customer service and selection at onlineshoes.com, I wouldn't go anywhere else but here!

Keens are great for school and playgrounds. They stand-up to a lot of wear and tear. Your kids will probably out grow them before they will fall apart. This style- "Briggs" are great cause the elastic laces don't need to be tied. While the big toe cap isn't exactly stylish it is very protective and durable. Our family has gone summer hikes in Keens sandals and they work great- breathable and protective. I've found Keens to run small, I wear a 9 1/2 and take a Keen 10.

I bought these for my 4 year old son. He has worn Keens ever since he could walk. We love them because they are so comfortable and most importantly durable. He is the oldest of 3 boys and I anticipate being able to pass these shoes down through the ranks. This particular pair however, are stiff in the back and he has a difficult time getting them on by himself. Once they are on however, he loves them and says they make him "super fast". I am hoping that they break in a bit, but his other Keens have held up so well that I'm nervous that he will have trouble for some time to come.

I bought these for my 6 and 7 year old boys. They love them. We resently when on a 6 mile hike and they were just perfect. Supportive and grippy on the rocks. They are also fery stylish so dress up is easy and they make great school shoes. The only thing I would say negitive which is only temperary is that my boys have had a hard time getting the shoes on. When they were really new they needed help. As the good leather has softened they have become much easier. So no biggy but I felt parents would want to know that it happens but just for awhile.

Bought them for my very active 5 year old who is very rough on shoes. So far he has not destroyed them and he can put them on with ease. My family all has had Keen shoes and I am very happy with the quality.

This is the third pair of Keens that I have bought my 4 year old son. I love the look of the shoes and my son loves the comfort and the fact that he can get them on himself. I highly recommend these shoes, as well as any Keen shoe, as they are versatile, comfortable and wear incredibly well.

Love the toe bumpers on Keens. The most durable, comfortable, breathable, washable, cool-looking shoe on the market. Perfect for every member of the family! We wear them for every occasion. Through slush and snow in the winter, sand in the sandbox, rain, around the house, for yard work, shopping, hiking, chasing toddlers, and they still always look great and stylish. You can't kill them. I expect my small ones to last through several children. I've heard some say that the sizing is off. I don't know because I just get the next size for my little ones when they grow out of their current ones, so I don't know what their measured size is to compare. I just know you'll get your money's worth out of them!

My 4 yr old son loves these shoes. They are very stylish, comfortable, and durable. My son is very tough on shoes. However, even after a month of wear, they still look good!! The shoes are a little bit tough to get on, but he is learning to put them on by himself. It's helpful to loosen up the ties fully before putting them on.

I bring my 9 year old son shoes home all the time, and all he will wear is his Keens!!!! He loves these. They have the great Keen comfort and are slip ons, but look like a sneaker. The black is great, it goes with everything. They are also great in the rain. Keen kids shoes are the best.

This is the second pair of Keens I have bought my son. I wasn't used to spending this much money on shoes for him but they have worn exceptionally well and have outlasted all other shoes I've bought for him. Instead of buying 2-3 pairs of shoes through out the school year, I'm buying just one. They are worth every penny.

Great Kids Sneaker/ Shoe. This sneaker is more than just a sneaker, its stylish, cute and my son says " really comfortable". They look great with his jeans, shorts or khakis.

My son Toni is 7 years old but he has very wide feet so for him these pair of shoe is very difficult to put on. Very cool looking, but hard to put on.

I believe Keen was on sale when I got our first pair and I am so glad I did. Now every kid has a pair in the family. It is not your everyday tennis shoes, but it is very comfortable, looks cool and quality.
