These shoes look great when a 10 year old boy has to wear a blazer and slacks, with jeans for school or just in chinos for a presentation.
They were surprisingly true to size and fit like a glove. They are extremely easy to spiff up with a bit of leather lotion but look sporty for the daily soccer game in the yard. My son loves to wear them as they are so comfortable and don't have to be tied like his sneakers!
My only wish is that the sizing went beyond a 6.

I have been buying Merrell brand of shoes for my son since he was a toddler, he is going to be six soon. He loves this pair and these are the first pair that was not suede. I like these a lot; they are great and will stain a lot less than the others in the past. But they do show scuff marks much faster than the suede style. But I would buy them again for sure.

Bought these shoes for my son, they are a great school shoe that need little/no break in. I really can't find any fault with these shoes, other than I wish the diamond tread pattern on the soles lasted a bit longer. You can count on these shoes lasting a good 9 months of wearing 8-4 every day. My kids have typically outgrown them before they are ready to throw out.
