I'm always looking for a waterproof breathable boot that can be worn indoors at school. This year's pick is the Ecco boot. Warm, but not bulky, comfortable and euro stylish. Initially, my son found the overlapping flap (to keep water/snow out) bulky, but as the boot wore in, it was not a problem. This is a good boot to take to ski country. The boots were supportive enough to play lacrosse a few times in driving rain in April, and he is now wearing them without socks helping his father with yard work and boat washing. Innersoles should be taken out if really wet, and yes, I have hosed them inside and out, and hung the boots up to dry.
