I bought these for inclement rainy weather as it was advertised as waterproof. I didn't see any rain till month 3 when a small puddle allowed water to pour in into both boots! The puddle wasn't even 2"deep! I returned these and just bought a pair of Timberlands. I owned a true waterproof pair for 16 years and even waded on a shallow river to flyfish.
After wearing for an hour, these became my favorite boots! They were perfect for Dove season opening.
I bought these to replace some worn timberlands and lost army boots for bad wet weather. They seemed okay till my first real rain and would leak water past the second set of eyelets-very annoying when they were advertised as capable of big puddles. Look elsewhere for better water protection.
Intended use is outdoor rain/cool weather shooting, light hiking conditions. Nice shoe. I'm a Timberland man since 1978 but I wanted to try someone else so these are my second set of Oakley boots. One for hot weather the other for rain.
