No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I bought these for daily use on my job. I work in protection so I am in and out of vehicles and walking frequently, with the occasional sprint or short jog. The minute I took these out of the box and tied them on, the speed lacing hooks popped off. So I sent them in for a replacement......then upon receiving the new boots in the mail I tied them on....and the speed lacing hooks popped off again! I don't even tie my boots that tight. These should just be used for casual wear, or for those weirdos who don't lace their boots up.
