The comfort of the inner cushioned midsole is the best reason for my enjoying this shoe. I have plantar faciitis and need a good arch---this shoe works great; I can wear it for hours and still feel comfort. I wear a 10 1/2 or 11 N. shoe and they are both difficult to find. So just finding a narrow shoe was a plus for me. Actually, I have two pair of Salmas----so you can tell----I enjoy them!!! I'll buy another pair when these are worn out.

When I received the Shoe I didn't like the soles being lumpy. I am not sure if this was deliberate by the manufacturer or not. As soon as I replaced the Soles with Gel inserts I fell in love with the shoe. These are one of my most comfortable pairs of shoes I own.
