I have been wearing Earth shoes for several years, and have bought a total of four pairs, because I love them so much. I really love the way the negative heel gives my foot optimal arch support. The Rocket was the latest Earth shoe purchase I made, and they are definitely my least favorite. I also own some casual leather mary-janes, a pair of the flip-flops, and I used to have a pair of Earth Energetics (also vegan) which I wore out completely. I was excited to try the Rocket because it looks (to me) much more stylish and less clunky than the Energetic, but I found that they were not nearly as comfortable to me--they felt significantly roomier in the toe, and I haven't felt like they support my feet very well. A little long or something. Maybe I would feel differently if I had gotten a half size smaller, but I ordered the same size as I had been wearing in the Energetic, so I expected them to fit the same. Next time I'll be getting the Earth Energetic again!
I have been researching these sneakers for awhile and finally bought them and love them. I wear them all the time and I can feel my muscles getting a workout. I never read that the shoe comes small as I read in other reviews; I found mine were a little big. I wear a 7, bought a 7, could have got away with a 6.5. Besides that, I am very happy with the shoe.
I tried the shoes first at home to see if they were right for me. I ordered a half size larger on the advice of another rating. The shoes are a good fit. The "negative heel" actually adds to the support which I require for my med/high arches. I recently took them on a vacation were I walked everywhere. They are idealy suited for the motion of the foot for walking. There is alot of cushioning as well. My feet still get tired of standing after a long day, but the comfort of walking probably delays that some.

I had earth shoes in high school, so I thought I would get this sneaker for my daily 3 mile walks. I was hoping they would add a new element to my workout. I wore them around the house for an hour or so to see how they felt and try them out before going on pavement. They did work my muscles, but hurt the achelles tendon in my right leg. And made my legs feel very fatigued. Sadly, I returned them right away. I debated keeping them to see if my muscles would adjust to them, but my legs actually hurt. They were not the sneaker for me. It was disappointing.

I love these shoes. I wear them for my work outs and every chance that I get to wear sneakers. I took the advice to buy 1/2 size larger, and that worked for me. I really believe that they have helped tone my legs. My legs are skinny, so I look like Olive Oyl in them because of the wide toe box, but the wide toe box makes them feel scrumptous!
