I have a high arch so I have a hard time finding flat shoes that aren't running or hiking shoes that feel good. These are awesome. They go with everything, they're sustainably made, quality leather on the back, they're are really comfortable. Really glad I got these.
this is interesting because i feel the opposite of the other reviewers. i am SOOPER-picky about shoes and i tried these on at a store. they felt really solid and comfy with lots of arch support, which is usually nonexistent in these converse-looking types of sneakers. i like the fact that you can fold down the heel and slide them on. the laces really grab and are not flimsy. i will order a pair as soon as i can find them on sale, which they are at [...]but they ran out of 7s! i wear either a 7 or 7.5 and these are 7s and fit perfectly so they are not too big for me nor too narrow. it's hard to find a shoe that fits my semi-narrow foot that really holds the heel in without rubbing on the achilles and this really fits well that way.
Patagonia shoes run one-half size small. That said, I love these because they're right for my foot, which is narrow, and they don't have a lot of constructed arch support, but they have a lot of support under the whole foot. The "step-in" feature is convenient, but even with that, these would be too hot to wear here in the summer.
I own two pairs of these and would buy more.
I've been looking at these Patagonia Patrol for months but was disappointed when I finally got them. The shoes I own are 7 1/2 to 8; I ordered these in an 8 and they felt almost too small. Worse, width was uncomfortably narrow. Bummer because I thought they were so cute.

I found that these shoes ran a little smaller than average, about a half of size and that they are pretty warm even with the vent holes in the arches. With that said though I really love them and wear them often.
