One thing that's important to me and that was NOT included in the information about the shoe, was its origin. The name of the shoe lead me to believe they might be from Spain or Italy, when in fact they were made in China. I'm not sure if that determines its quaility, but I probably wouldn't have purchased them had I known that. [...]

A really beautiful shoe. The slingback doesn't bite into the back of the ankle, or cause blisters. Usually I stay away from slingbacks for these reasons, but these shoes are great. They stay put without being tight. My foot is very narrow, so perhaps they'd be a bit narrow for a wide foot, but for me they're perfect. I have them in red--I would get them in the brown, as well.
