I returned the Karikole Brown for Burgundy, a much richer and more classic color for this leather shoe. Normally I'm a 9.5 or 10, but I had to order 8.5. They fit perfectly, except for blisters caused on the top of my heel (around Achilles tendon). These went away after a few days of "breaking in" the shoes. Overall, I'm in love with these shoes!

Not the Bass you Might Remember!

Shoes have a nice shine to them however they are not as amenable to professional wear as the Bass tassel loafer of old. This version is larger, boxier, stiffer, and looks much more suitable for a college student from a bygone era. Leather is very stiff and inflexible, the size 8 was snug but the size 8.5 is too big, foot actually slides up and down in the shoe. I wear this shoe to work, and the Bass loafers of old had a more professional look and were also much more comfortable, the leather had more give to it and the shoe supported the foot but with great flexibility.
